As the founder of PEMU Agrifood Academy, Peter specializes in equipping small and mid-sized farms with the tools and strategies they need to thrive, from professional farm management to market access and regenerative farming practices.

 
Peter’s unique insight into the challenges faced by “telephone farmers” stems from his leadership of the Telephone Farmers Project at Latia, where he gained firsthand understanding of the triumphs and tribulations of individuals balancing urban careers with rural farming investments. 
 
His experience has made him a trusted authority on why many of these ventures falter and what it takes to create sustainable, profitable agribusinesses.
 
Beyond his work with PEMU, Peter is a champion of system-wide change in food systems, recognized as an active Food Systems Fellow by the Rockefeller Foundation and Acumen.
